Springmaid Beach Resort questions

Can anyone tell me about the Springmaid Beach Resort area? It appears to be very close to the MB State Park.

We have never stayed at Springmaid but their web site talks about the Cypress Building%26#39;s recent renovations and the rates are great. I know it%26#39;s a bit back from the water but that%26#39;s okay since we won%26#39;t be able to stay long. We will be visiting MB on July 4-6, 2007 (to watch the fireworks on the beach) and most places have a 4-7 night minimum but we can only visit for two nights :-(

Is the Springmaid an okay place to stay for a couple of nights for two adults and no children?

Thanks in advance for any help provided!

Springmaid Beach Resort questions

I stayed ther two times also and I wanted stay there ever again either.

-Rude Staff

-DIRTY Pools

-room not real clean

-not enough parking

-the restaurant is nasty (the pier and Marlins)

It is to much of like an apartment complex to me with all the buildings.

It is on the Ocean. It is just off Ocean Blvd to the side by its self

It is also more of a Kid Run Free resort to when I was there.

It is right on the beach, it just sets back a little further...a short walk.

The north-most building has the pier directly in front of it (so maybe not ideal if you are a beach-goer).

Never been inside, but the sprawling grounds are very well manicured %26amp; attended to...different buildings from which to choose %26amp; multiple pool areas.

This is a somewhat ';isolated'; and less crowded section of beach between the inlet just south of Damon%26#39;s (which you can%26#39;t walk across at high tide) %26amp; the campground %26amp; SP areas to the south.
