My wife %26amp; I fit your age criteria %26amp; our favorite destination both for dining %26amp; night life is Murrells Inlet....not many hotel options there but nearby Garden City (or Surfside Beach) might have a few more. This area is south of MB, but you are still only a 5-10 minute drive from MB attractions. Converesely, if you stay in the southern end of MB (the south avenues), you are closer to Murrells Inlet.

Fat Harolds in North Myrtle Beach on Main Street.

I would say the area near the ';avenues'; . There is a main street there with dining options as well as nightlife and shopping. It%26#39;s somewhat residential.

Although if you want everything in direct walking distance of the hotel. I would suggest the area near the Paradise Towers at the Breakers Resort. There are a few hotels near there and lots of restaurant options and shopping nearby. Also nearby is Broadway at the Beach with it%26#39;s dining and nightlife options. www.broadwayatthebeach.com

North Myrtle Beach....Crescent Shores or Ashworth or Wyndham Ocean Boulevard. Check vrbo.com .....(North Myrtle Beach)

We are 49/54 and all about night life and entertainment, main reason we live in Myrtle Beach. There are many variations of night life in MB. Someone mentioned Fat Harolds, it is a 100% shagging place. Majority of people all know each other, all belong to various shag groups and that is only thing they do there. North Myrtle Beach is mainly for shagging night life. However, when Dynamites at Doc Holidays opens back up in Feb, they offer many different kinds of entertainment. You also have 2001 in NMB, 2 different areas that offer different styles of music. Our favorite night life area is Broadway at the Beach, 29th Ave N to 21st Ave N. Pat and Mikes in Little River, small place but offers different kinds of musci almost every night of week.

Crocodile Rocks is great place to go for all ages, we meet people from all over the world in there, all ages. We are usually there 2 or 3 times a month. So when you say entertainment and dining, we would recommend Broadway. If you are more into just eating out, no matter where you stay, good restaurants, from Little River south to Murrells Inlet.

If you are planning a trip in May, please make sure to check the dates and avoid Bike Weeks at all costs.

I will second the avoid bike week!!!! I%26#39;ve made that mistake a couple of times. I would suggest North Myrtle Beach.
