Jon Sharp's Walking History Tour is TOP-NOTCH!! A+++

I only had an overnight and morning in Beaufort as I was passing thru. I picked up a pamphlet for Jon Sharp%26#39;s Walking HIstory Tour in the motel lobby, so thought what the heck, I%26#39;ll try it. Before I met Jon, I asked a clerk in a souvenier shop in historical downtown Beaufort what I would be sure and NOT want to miss in Beaufort. She asked what tours if any had I already taken, so I mentioned I was about to take Jon%26#39;s walking tour and she brightened right up and told me that his tour would give me all I would want to see in town.

I was NOT disappointed in ANY way! I%26#39;ve taken several good walking tours in several cities around the world and this one was by far in the top 2! Jon%26#39;s wonderfully informative about the various sites he takes you around to and gives you the boom and bust, war and peace history about Beaufort from inception to present day and some really interesting stories about some of the cities key figures thru history.

Jon%26#39;s reputation as a tourguide was further endorsed as we were simply walking past a more nondescript home in the scenic historic area though we didn%26#39;t immediately know it wherein a dinner party was going on inside. The previous mayor of Beaufort must%26#39;ve seen Jon from inside the house and came outside and called out greetings to him. Then after a brief conversation between them, the former mayor turned to us and started praising Jon%26#39;s abilities as a tourguide.

The gorgeous, spacious antebellum homes and the gorgeous vegetation throughout the area make for great photos and breathtaking sites enhanced all the more by Jon%26#39;s great insights on each.

Bottom line: Jon%26#39;s tour is well worth both time and money!

My wife and I will be visiting Beaufort next week. How do we contact Jon? What was the cost of the tour? How long is the tour? Where does it start.

Thanks for taking the time to make the posting.

We found out about Jon%26#39;s tour from a little flyer at the hotel.

After reading the great reviews I decided to look into this for a day trip while we are on Hilton Head. Google produced the following link to John%26#39;s website whic gives info, including tour times:
