daufuskie island versus westin on hilton head

we have 2 small children and 2 teens - our teens only care about laying on the beach so we would like to walk out of rooms and have immediate beach access. looking for something that would provide some activity for the toddlers, but not a lot of noise or chaos. has anyone stayed at both places - recommendations for one more than the other? thanks!

If your teens just want to lay out and not much else...along with no noise and chaos for your toddlers than i would certainly go to Daufuskie. You could rent a cottage from the INN or a home in Driftwood beach and can literally throw a stone into the ocean from your front porch or enjoy a cocktail once the toddlers are down while listening to the waves crashing. The beach is basically all yours while you are there. They do have some kid activities avaliable at the Inn...I would contact them. You are also only a short boat ride to either HHI or Savannah for a day trip for the family. Not to mention you can ferry from savannah now and eliminate car rental and HHi traffic headaches if you fly into the Savannah airport. Your teens can rent water sport toys...ride horses...golf if they like....etc.... there as well. Travel by golf cart is also safer and more fun for the kids...no matter what the age....

We prefer daufuskie over HHI.....
