surfside beach

Can anyone tell me about the area.......................how does it pan out for a family vacation?

surfside beach

Surfside Beach is just below Myrtle Beach to the south. The beach is crowed but not as crowed as MB.

We like the easy access driving in on 501 via 544 and still being close to all the MB action. It%26#39;s a good ways away from NMB but not too bad. You can avoid a lot of the traffic coming out of Surfside Beach by taking 544 out to business 17 if you know where to get off business 17.

If your family will want to do things away from the beach everyday you may spend a good bit of time in the car travelling to MB. But, if you are looking to spend most of the time enjoying the beach then Surfside would be a great place to stay.

Even if you don%26#39;t stay in Surfside check out Sara J%26#39;s - great mom %26amp; pop seafood place in Garden City just below Surfside.

Happy travels...

I highly suggest Garden City Beach which is south of Surfside Beach. The beaches are beautiful and not crowded at all. We have vacationed there for the last 25-30 years. Check out http://www.gardencityrealty.com for houses and condos.

Also the Gulf Stream Cafe in Garden City is awesome. A view of the ocean, and the marsh and early bird specials for just $10.95.

Want fun? The Marlin Quay Marina offers super parasailing and fishing charters as well.

Add to that the Garden City Pier with fishing, arcade, cafe and karaoke

it all adds up to a lot of fun.

Hope this helps.
