Can teens walk to anything from Compass cove?

I have read some review that the south end where Compass cove is located is not safe.Would you let a 21 and 15 year old walk to anything around it?Thanks for your help.

Not really. When we stayed there some years back we took 2 teenagers and they had to drive to get to everything they wanted to do.

I would choose another hotel.

But what is it that they are looking for?

Most of everything in MB you will have to drive to. Especially for teenagers.

I guess like putt-putt or Mc%26#39;D%26#39;s or wendy%26#39;s.Are any close enough to walk too?

There is a putt-putt/mini golf just across the way from there. I don%26#39;t recall any McDonalds near by. I think it was on 17 BYpass. There are some little stores, little pizza joints, etc. It%26#39;s not dead.

But the major attractions like Nascar, Grand Prix, Wild Waves, Mideival Times, etc. isn%26#39;t near there just a short drive away.

I will give you MY opinion, everyone has their own. All 5 of our children are in their 20%26#39;s and I would not let any of them walk around Ocean Blvd within 20 block radius North - South of the old Pavillion, by themselves. I am hesitant when they come to visit about where they are going, I am always warning them to be very careful and I do not let the females go out alone anywhere in MB, day or night. Not in this day and time. MB has its share of ';issues'; just like every city does.

I have never been to MB, so I am not familiar with the layout. I will be bringing two 17 yr old boys in March. We are staying at the Boardwalk Beach Resort. My husband, daughter and I will be at a cheer competition all day on Saturday and Sunday and were hoping we could let the boys roam around on their own. Are they safe to do this in this area?

I think you will love the area where your hotel is located.

It%26#39;s right near the Breakers Paradise Towers. It is very safe. There are some little snack shops like pizza, ice cream and such that are near by.

Since you have a 21 year old walking with the 15 year old they should be fine walking to the activities nearby.
