Like weather at the beach there is no guarantee. Just taking a wild guess I%26#39;d say once you get south of Erie and away from lake effect you should be ok.

Even if by some chance Mother Nature throws us a rare surprise you should have smooth sailing from Wythville, VA down.

driving conditions driving to myrtle beach

We have driven to SC twice in March and never encountered any snow at all, not even here in Michigan. However, my sister and her family drove to Myrtle Beach last March and encountered some light snow in West Virginia, Virginia and western North Carolina on the way down. Like I said, it was light snow, I don%26#39;t even think it accumulated on the ground, and it was no big deal to drive in. If you do happen to encounter any snow, the U.S. interstates are almost always the first to get any attention from plow trucks, etc. and you should be fine, especially being from Toronto and knowing how to drive in snow.

A sidenote, as so often happens in the South in the spring, when my sister and her family left to come home, the same areas that had snow on the way down were experiencing temps in the mid-seventies! : - )

April 20th in Hilton Head - This may be off base

We are playing a wedding April 21st at The Westin in Hilton Head. We%26#39;ll be staying there the 20th and 21st. Our band is not a typical ';wedding band'; nor is this a typical wedding but we are more of a bar band or a rock band. Anyhow, we need help with finding a venue that has live music on weekends and would be open to a band from out of town. I have found that most places in Hilton Head lack a website for contact information. We%26#39;ve tried Wild Wings, and Salty Dogs. Does anyone have any suggestions or contact information about bars that are primarily based toward 25-45 year olds that may be interested?

If you%26#39;re really bored..

    Restaurants with Live Entertainment

There are a number of restaurants that offer live entertainment here...not for sure which way you should proceed on this, guess I%26#39;m not sure just how many restaurant owners/corporate guys really read this forum...I do know of a few --- You might try emailing the Divine Dining Group (www.divinedining.com) They own a number of places..or maybe even contact our local ';entertainment'; magazine The Surge (www.weeklysurge.com)...they may be of some help!

    Good Luck!

    MB Concierge,advice please??

Any info on Rainbow Court, heard it would be right down our street,ie young people looking for a good time??Oh and any idea of Green Fee%26#39;s in the summer??Thanks!

    MB Concierge,advice please??

Green fees will drop somewhat in the summer.Witch,Wizzard, and Man O War offered around $115 to play all 3 last year.Thats cart and green fee. Diamond Back had sommer ads for about $28.

The high end courses want abouy$75 to $100 a round.

    MB Concierge,advice please??

There are a number of hotels down and around that area of the beach...Rainbow Court, Midtown Inn, Crepe Myrtle, Noel Court....just to name a few. Most of these properties will allow guests to register that are under the age of 25 (a number of properties here will not), and this area is a very diverse mix come the summer months, as a number of our international students who come to work the beach in the summer find housing in this area. Of course, all of these properties do have certain rules to follow, and if the good time is kept in reason, there shouldnt be any problem. I remember reading one post somewhere about someone staying at the Rainbow Court and they said the best advice was to get on the good side of the security guard! LOL! But you know...that cant hurt!

And, as Tony stated...green fees do a bit of a nose dive come summer....late June thru September. Not as low as the dead of winter months, but you can find some good deals come summer. I would advise not booking your golf until you get here, then check the local paper, or call around for a 48 hour or 24 hour rate....

    Hope all this helps!

South Winds, Sea Island, Dunes Village, Marriot Grand Dunes

Thank you for your advice MB Concierge! I have more questions:)

Out of South Winds, Sea Island, Marina Inn at Grand Dunes Villlage, and the Marriot at Grand Dunes. lt seems that the Sea Island has the nicest indoor pools from the pictures that are on the website. Do you know if the other pools in the other hotels are as nice? Someone said they really liked the pools at Marina Inn at Grand dunes village

for children, how come? Do you know if the outdoor pools are heated at these hotels?

I guess I%26#39;m thinking that we may have to utilize the indoor pools at the time we are going in the beginning of April.

    Thank you Again!

South Winds, Sea Island, Dunes Village, Marriot Grand Dunes

    Cyni,

I think they are referring to Dunes village 5200 ocean bld.It has a indoor waterpark for the kids.

South Winds, Sea Island, Dunes Village, Marriot Grand Dunes

Most of the ';true'; outdoor pools are not heated...but at both Sea Island and Dunes Village the pools are more like an indoor/outdoor...the pool area at Dunes village is a bit more ';involved'; with slides (dual) but the Sea Island pool layout and landscape is neat.....

bring on the questions! I love it!
