weather and resort ??

We are arriving beginnig of may the week before bike week, what is the weather typically like then?

ALSO we are staying at the Avista for the first time, we stayed at long bay last year wanted a change, any news on the avista? hope its nice!!

Have heard several positive reviews on Avista. Only negative comments were pretty minor. Think one was lack of counter space in a bathroom.

Fairly new building. Great location. Sits between Ocean Drive and Cherry Grove stoplights. Quick hop in car to stores and restaurants on Main Street and Sea Mountain Highway. If young or young at heart it%26#39;s not a bad walk. Can find pretty much anything you will need without going out on Rt 17.

Weather is unpredictible. We were there in NMB mid May a few years ago and it was very warm. Laid in sun and swam in outdoor pool and lazy river. Ocean water was still too cold for swimming.

Last year in mid May it was much cooler and windy. One day warm enough to lay on beach and the next too cool. It was bike week so on cooler days we went to bike shows. Worked out pretty good.
