I will be traveling across the US with my husband this coming summer. He鈥檚 a long haul truck driver and me and my son plan to join him for a few weeks every now and then. I have no clue where well end up stopping in your state so I was hoping you could all help me by telling me cool kid friendly places to see. I know there will be times where we鈥檒l be waiting a day or so to pick up or drop off and I鈥檇 love to use that free time to explore areas. I鈥檓 the kind of person who likes to plan as much as possible. So any and all recommendations of places to stop and see would be greatly appreciated
Thanks so much for all your help

Need Help
Columbia SC has a great zoo and wonderful museum and childrens museum. I recommend both of those. Columbia is in middle of the state, with several interstates running thru, depending on where you are going, it might be on your trip(I-26, I-20, I-77) Otherwise, you have I-85 from Atlanta thru Anderson, Greenville, Spartanburg SC (I can%26#39;t say there is a ton of things for children to do, I lived there in that area almost 20 yrs and I am trying to think what is there). You also have I-95 from FL/GA thru SC close to the coast up to NC/VA. Coastal route will bring you close to Charleston lots of history and Myrtle Beach (putt putt, water parks, ocean, IMAX theater, Nascar Park, Family Kingdom Amusement park) Myrtle Beach is a great family destination.
