Can anyone give me any info about Camelot?
Thanks very much,

Camelot By The Sea - Any thoughts???
The reviews seem to be pretty good, its in a good location, outside looks very nice. I read someones reply to a question on here that they were alittle disappointed with Camelot, but you will find that with any hotel. There is not a perfect one, if the price range suits, it is ocean front, its not a dump I can tell you that much, you should be satisfied.

I haven%26#39;t stayed there before but we stay next door in the Breakers.
From what I can tell from looking from the outside.
Pros:
-Location
-Fairly New (5 years I believe)
-Pools are ok (from what I could see from next door)
CONS:
-Some of the rooms are set-up weird. You enter the room from the garage area and then your bedroom is right there. I personally don%26#39;t like to enter my hotel room SUITE with the bedroom right there first. I prefer it to be the other way around.
-From what some have said it%26#39;s sort of getting dirty in the rooms and they already need refurbishing. I haven%26#39;t seen the actual inside of the rooms but check out this site for any pictures.
Sometimes I wonder when reviews say dirty I wonder if the traveler has checked in after a particularly high occupancy time, like bike weeks and 4th of July, where I doubt the staff can keep up with turning the rooms, much less cleaning the lobbies. NO excuse but its very possible. The most mess I have ever seen on the outside of hotels was Ocean Blvd on Memorial Day morning, more trash on the ground then after Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Sometimes there are worst times to check in then others.
Keep in mind too that all of these units are individually owned...meaning one unit might not be in as good as shape or furnished as nice as the next one....I do like the location...close to the 21st Ave N area...and Bummz is right next door!
