HELP!!! Family in need of R&R

I am searching for a family friendly area for our first visit to MB. I really loved Dunes Village web site. Is it located in the ';quiet'; area of MB? We are used to vacationing in Ft. Myers Beach. MB is a lot more action packed. We want to relax and have a blast. Are there any other options??? I have know idea where to start..

You did not mention WHEN you plan on visiting, things book fast here. Dunes has received many favorable reviews from people who have stayed there. I think the location is good and puts you basically between N. Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach activities yet you are not right in the MIDDLE of everything. Plenty to do in MB. IF you are thinking about a summer vacation you better book today.

I am a local here in Myrtle Beach and can tell you that yes Dunes Village is located in a very quiet section of Myrtle Beach, I live just a few blocks north of there. Just a heads up though, there is construction going on with the hotel next door so it may not be so quiet, you may want to call the Dunes Village and find out if the construction is going to be completed before you get down for your trip! If not, the Island Vista just a couple of blocks north of the Dunes Village is very nice and is a stand alone hotel, with only residential homes on either side of it!
